Development of X-Band Power Limiter Module
· Development of a waveguide-type power limiter for X-Band applications
· Excellent low insertion loss performance of 0.7 dB
· Durability supporting maximum peak power of 2.5 kW (Duty 1%, Pulse Width 5 μs)
· Power limiting performance with leakage characteristics: Spike Leakage below 1000 mW, Flat Leakage below 20 mW
Applications of X-Band Power Limiter Module

MPS-1 Biho Surveillance Radar

Naval Surveillance Radar

UAV/DRONE Radar and Communication Receiver Section

Front-End Wireless Equipment Receiver
· The receiver sections of military wireless systems such as Biho Detection Radar, Maritime Surveillance Radar, and military drones are composed of high-sensitivity semiconductor circuits designed to detect and amplify weak incoming signals.
· To prevent circuit damage or destruction caused by high-power input signals exceeding the operating range of the weak-signal input stage, a power limiter module is applied between the antenna and the LNA (Low Noise Amplifier) of the receiver front-end.
· When incoming power exceeds the operational range of the weak-signal processing circuit, the power limiter increases the attenuation characteristics of its internal PIN diode, re-radiating the excessive received power through the antenna and thereby protecting the LNA from damage.
